In Business Since 1826 and Growing Strong
The Cincinnati Equitable's rich history of over 177 years demonstrates the close attention we pay to our customers as well as our keen focus on financial stability. This assures our customers that we will be there when they need us.
Every company president mentions their people, however, I know that our people are the distinct advantage that The Cincinnati Equitable Companies bring to a highly competitive marketplace.
Our people approach service delivery with a bent toward problem resolution. Our people create the systems that constantly improve products and service. Our people build vital relationships that are the key to the essential trust between customer and company. Our people will meet the changes, challenges, and opportunities of the future.
Product Development
Product development is a never-ending endeavor at The Cincinnati Equitable Companies. In 1826, the Cincinnati Equitable founders would not have envisioned a need for "Identity Theft" insurance. Yet "Identify Theft" is a coverage much in demand in today's marketplace. It is now available to our Homeowners' policyholders through a special endorsement. This is the newest product improvement in our ongoing effort to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.
Technology Supports People
The Cincinnati Equitable's award-winning and cutting-edge technology makes it simple and easy for you to do business with us. Agents and policyholders can communicate with us by e-mail, fax, telephone, or a menu-driven automated phone system. In spite of our impressive technological options, we continue to provide agents and policyholders the choice of calling our front desk and speaking with a real, live person who will direct their call to the appropriate staff person.
Community Engaged
When we look to our history, we see a company that financially supported the creation of the first public fire department in the United States, which was in Cincinnati. Today, we remain committed to the communities in which we do business and to the relationships with individual agencies and policyholders in those communities.
Performance
We expect 2004 results to be good at The Cincinnati Equitable Companies. We have maintained a focus on profit through controlled growth, increased efficiency and rate adequacy. Our Midwestern marketplace represents a healthy insurance environment. Our technological advances will contribute to operating efficiencies in our corporate enterprise and will also help our agencies manage their individual, local businesses more efficiently.
Privacy
A great deal of attention has been paid to the important issue of the protection of our policyholders' nonpublic information. The Cincinnati Equitable Companies have NEVER shared that data beyond what is necessary to appropriately underwrite business and to settle claims. Our policyholders now receive written assurance of that ongoing policy.
Website
Throughout this message, I have referenced agents and policyholders. I, as well as my associates, consider both to be our customers. We believe that you are deserving of our undivided attention and passion in serving your needs and exceeding your expectations.
If I can serve you, please contact me at 1-800-621-1826 or email me at JWK@1826.com. We thank you for your interest in The Cincinnati Equitable Companies.
Sincerely,
James W. Ketring
